Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal mentioned Atishi's name during interrogation, ED tells court

The Delhi court proceedings involving Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, who the Enforcement Directorate (ED) has accused of being “non-cooperative” during interrogation in a money laundering case linked to Delhi’s excise policy. The ED alleged Kejriwal tried to mislead investigators by not sharing his phone’s password and implicated Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Atishi Marlena by stating that Vijay Nair, a key accused in the case and the former communication-in-charge of the AAP, reported to her rather than him. Kejriwal’s conduct was criticized by the Additional Solicitor General SV Raju, representing the ED, as obstructive to the investigation. Kejriwal’s mention of Atishi during the interrogation was purportedly to divert accountability for Vijay Nair’s actions away from himself. Following the hearing, the court ordered Kejriwal’s judicial custody until April 15. Meanwhile, Kejriwal’s legal team has filed a petition requesting that he be allowed to read certain religious texts and a book titled “How Prime Ministers Decide,” along with other requests pertaining to his diet and religious practices while in custody.
